CLUB ACTIVITIES

Opening Day Ride-In & Picnic

The opening day, Saturday, May 26, 2007, was extremely well attended.  Pittsburg Police Chief, Richard Lapoint, counted over 75 trucks and trailers at the trail head parking area on Saturday morning

Two of Pittsburg's local police officers were out on ATV patrol most of the day.  They reported that they counted over 150 ATVs on the trail system.

At the gravel pit on Farr Rd. at 4-corners the club set up tables and a BBQ grille.  The club hosted over 75 ATVers with soda, hotdogs, hamburgers, side dishes and snacks.  Kevin Judd kept the grille hot and turning out the goodies.

The ATV parking at the gravel pit had quite a few visitors during the BBQ.

The club tables were kept busy during the day with memberships, club clothing sales, maps and giving out ATV related information.  Jenn Landry our club secretary and John Huff our membership chairman were kept busy getting all the paperwork filled out and collecting money.

The weather cooperated very well with a constant breeze that kept the black flies away for the whole day.  If you missed opening day this season, put it on your calendar for next year.  The trails will open then, the Saturday before Memorial Day as always.
